I read your work line by line and…
- correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- alert you when something isn’t clear or doesn’t seem to make sense
- note redundancies and suggest alternative wording
- ensure consistency in spelling, numbers, capitalization, names, and hyphenation
- flag or reword jargon
- smooth out awkward or confusing sentences
- create a style sheet listing terms, character names, treatment of numbers, and so on for your manuscript
- Fees are based on the size of your project
My Story
Wondering if I’m the right person to edit your book or blog? Here’s a little bit about me so we can get to know each other. Then, fill out the ‘Let’s Connect’ form so I can get to know you and what you’re working to create.
Past Tense
I’ve always had a passion for the written word. In addition to being a published author, I’ve helped writers publish articles, blog posts, and books (both fiction, and non-fiction). As a Registered Nurse in a previous life, I learned how to listen to find solutions that work.
I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. My family and I moved around the country for work, living in several different states, until the call of the Pacific Ocean finally brought us back home to Southern California.
Present Tense
I work to surround myself with good people and I look for ways to bring little joys into the lives of those closest to me.
You can usually find me…

Future Tense
My vision for the future is simple: To use the experience I’ve gained over the years to move from part-time to full-time editor.
I loved my 39-year career as an RN, and consider myself fortunate to have been a small part of so many people’s lives when they needed care the most. I’m forever grateful for my journey, but have now taken a new path.
As a full-time editor, I will work hard to help writers not just turn their vision into reality but also help their work be the best it can be.

How do I get a sample edit?
Depending on the word count I will do a sample edit of the project so you can see what the feedback will look like.
What kinds of editing projects do you take?
Fiction, nonfiction, articles, newsletters, course workbooks, and more. If you have any document that needs editing, please contact me to see how we can work together.
How long does the editing process take?
It depends on the text, but I’ll work to meet your needs. Turnaround time is usually less than 2 weeks. I take deadlines very seriously and will make sure you get your edits on schedule.
